Bayside Bralette Design Journal
This new crochet crop top is sure to become your new wardrobe staple with its customisable length, Summery design and flattering style! Whether relaxing by the beach or going out on a hot date, this top is perfect for all things Summer.
Inspiration
Crochet crop tops and bralettes have been popping up all over my feed this year, with crochet tops being in for the Summer season. I knew I had to get on board, especially because these tops are far more sustainable and long lasting than many other thinner tees on the market. Its DK weight yarn and customisable elements make it perfect for crocheters of any skill level. The design combines simplicity with intricate details, making it a versatile piece that can be dressed up or down for any occasion.
Yarn
For this design, I used an Australian DK weight cotton called Four Seasons Flinders. I picked a DK weight so that the top would be beginner friendly and great for using up stash yarns. It also allows for good coverage without being too light or heavy. Cotton is great for Summer as it is soft enough to be worn next to skin and is light and cool in the heat.
Some yarn that my testers used include Drops Safran and Alison and Mae Essentials.
Perfect for crocheters of all skill levels and great for any occasion, this modern crochet crop top is the perfect addition to your Summer wardrobe. This pattern is the perfect mix of handmade and Summer and will be perfect for all warm weather adventures!
